Sports ministry is a strategy of discipleship through the integration of athletics and relationship building. By building relationships on the playing field or on the court, missionaries have a chance to speak into the lives of their neighbors and share the good news of Jesus Christ. This involves coordinating sports clinics in schools, churches, neighborhoods; going into prisons, playing a sport, and then studying the Bible together; or building a youth center where kids can come to play and learn about God’s Word.
